THE CHRISTMAS EDIT: MARTHA, NANCY & INA

If I could borrow a little Christmas magic from three of my favourite women, this is what I'd imagine. Three very different holiday moods, all equally beautiful, and each inspiring little things I'd love to bring into my own home.

Consider this me sharing my little Christmas mood board, times three! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Christmas mood board inspired by Martha Stewart featuring a greenery wreath, vintage ornaments, red amaryllis, paperwhites, brass candlesticks, citrus centerpiece, sugar cookies and traditional holiday decor.

Christmas at Martha's would begin with a classic wreath on the door, beautiful bowls overflowing with citrus, amaryllis and delicate paperwhites in bloom, casually placed here and there, and fresh greenery cut straight from her garden in massive terracotta pots.

Colourful vintage ornaments, soft ribbons, and elegant brass candlesticks lighting the room. Cozy throws, beautiful coffee table books, and, of course, a batch of her famous Holiday cookies straight from the oven!

Traditional, botanical, beautifully handmade. And probably a project or two requiring more patience than I actually possess. Hah!

Cozy Christmas mood board inspired by Nancy Meyers featuring velvet stockings, a greenery wreath, blue and white ornaments, wrapped presents, festive cocktails, Christmas fettuccine and nostalgic holiday decor.

Oh, to spend Christmas inside a Nancy Meyers movie!

Elegant stockings hanging by the fireplace, gorgeous chinoiserie ornaments, family memories tucked into silver frames, and a beautiful oversized wreath. Presents perfectly wrapped with chiffon ribbons, amber-scented candles glowing here and there, and vases overflowing with red hydrangeas.

A good ol' cocktail, Christmas classics playing in the background, and Christmas fettuccine simmering away (IYKYK!), ready to be served on festive dinnerware.

Even the wine gets dressed up with a bow!

Cozy, nostalgic, and wonderfully lived-in. The kind of Christmas you never want to leave.

Christmas at Ina's would be all about effortless entertaining. A wreath of berries welcoming you home, abundant bowls of citrus, rosemary topiaries across the kitchen island, cookbooks piled high, and homemade dried-orange and popcorn garlands hanging here and there.

Champagne served alongside caviar on potato chips (because, Ina!), a few classic brass ornaments on the tree, and festive dinnerware with soft linens setting the table.

Something delicious bubbling away in her Le Creuset, while a batch of her buttery shortbread bakes in the oven, ready to be served with seasonal pomegranate seeds in beautiful chinoiserie teacups (because, again, Ina!).

Good food, good company, a hostess with the actual mostess, who somehow makes it all look completely effortless — my hero!

What I love most about these three different Christmases is how they each have their own way of making the ordinary feel a little (read: a whole lot, IMO) more beautiful, enjoyable and memorable.

Which is basically what my Christmas dreams are all about! Take a peek at last year’s Christmas decor!
