OCTOBER LATELY: SLOWING DOWN & LITTLE THINGS

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I AM AUTUMN.

I just love the coziness of the season, its beauty, and the permission to slow down. There's something oh-so-freeing about having almost no social expectations this time of year (right before the year's final sprint, just a few weeks away. Oh my!).

A cozy October morning at home with a cup of coffee, a patterned blanket, warm autumn decor and a sunlit living room.

And, so far, this October has been particularly soft, sprinkled with little moments I want to cherish for a very long time.

Like my eight-year-old son asking to watch a Nancy Meyers movie for the very first time. The joy? Comparable to his first steps! We've watched The Intern... twice! I've since introduced him to other classics, such as You've Got Mail (my fav, fav, FAV!) and Julie & Julia.

Then there's the moment I saw myself as a dark brunette again after going very light for some time. Our annual cottage weekend. Countless rainy morning walks in our rubber boots, afternoons spent making homemade cinnamon rolls, and evenings reading by the fireplace. My hubs bringing home my all-time favourite boujee pizza from Quebec City.

All this sweetness with Taylor's Red, folklore and a little evermore, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, and some good ol' Ella Fitzgerald playing in the background...

It’s just been pretty close to a perfect October if you ask me!
